Reliable, independent wage information is one of the biggest gaps in Namibia’s labour market, and one of the most valuable. The Namibia Wage Index is MLIC’s flagship product: a national benchmark that tracks how pay moves over time and how it varies across sectors, regions and occupations. It gives the whole market a common, credible reference point for what work is worth.
Employers use it to set competitive pay and test their structures against the market; policymakers use it to inform wage and economic policy; and workers gain transparency into fair compensation. Built on validated data and consistent methodology, the index turns fragmented wage information into a trusted national standard.
